15 Men On A Dead Man’s Chest– Sing Like A Pirate Saturday

What’s inside Jimmy D’s head for this Saturday?

Right now, I’m thinking about chest.

Pirate Treasure chest

Because friends and neighbors, it’s once again Sing Like A Pirate Saturday!!

For this time, it’s “15 Men On A Dead Man’s Chest” or AKA “Yo Ho Ho…and A Bottle Of Rum” though NEITHER is the song’s actual title. It was originally known as “The Derelict” and is really not even a historically accurrate “Pirate song” but was written in the 19th century. Nevertheless, it’s a fun one….

The clip  I  have for you is once again a version sung by the Midwestern Renfaire band The Jolly Rogers

It’s a nifty little tune huh? (If you can ever memorize all the words, that is! ;) lol )

Happy Sing Like A Pirate Saturday Blog folk!

Is quite sure if ANY woman could have 15 men on her chest all at once, it would be Selma Hayek,

  1. Being a muser myself, I did like these musings of yours. Is this the Commentator or the philosopher taking centre stage?

    • On this particuliar post, it was mostly the “Historian/Goofball” in me talking. But I’m always willing to go philosophical at any time, especially if someone is buying the drinks! ;)

      Thanks for stopping by! :)
